Upon your arrival in Bandar Seri Begawan, the first mosque you’ll encounter is the Brunei International Airport Mosque.

This mosque features a striking blue dome and three towering minarets. Although it isn’t open to tourists for interior visits, you’re more than welcome to capture some photographs of its exterior.

For some of the best photo opportunities, head to the second floor of the airport parking area. Upon exiting Brunei International Airport (BWN), you’ll spot the mosque to your right.

The mosque is just a brief 5-minute walk from the airport’s ground-level doors. Consider this charming airport mosque as a tantalizing preview of the grand landmarks you’ll encounter in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Two of the most notable mosques to explore in the city are the Jame’Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, both of which are easily accessible from the BSB airport.

During my visit to Bandar Seri Begawan, I lodged at the Qing Yun Resthouse, conveniently situated near the BSB riverfront. I secured a private air-conditioned room for $33 USD per night. Given that Brunei isn’t the most budget-friendly travel destination, this accommodation choice represented a fairly attractive option.

The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better. It was a mere 5-minute stroll from the renowned Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and the Royal Regalia Museum. Additionally, it was conveniently situated above a shopping complex brimming with a variety of dining options.

It’s important to note that prices may vary, so it’s advisable to keep an eye out for good deals and promotions.
